Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is most famous for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
